Fujian to issue first digital RMB salary
The 69 civil servants on duty and 35 staff members on staff of the Xiamen Free Trade Commission have received the first digital RMB salary issued by the unit. It is reported that this is also the first unit in Fujian Province to issue civil servants and staff of institutions with digital RMB salaries. The staff of the Finance and Financial Bureau of Xiamen FTC introduced that the first batch of operations of issuing civil servants’ and institutions’ employees’ salaries in digital RMB has realized the seamless inter-bank transfer between the financial treasury account and the payroll account and the batch settlement of payroll in digital RMB.
Recently, 69 civil servants on duty and 35 staff members in institutions of Xiamen FTZ received the first digital RMB salary issued by the unit, and Xiamen FTZ became the first unit in the province to issue the salaries of civil servants and staff members in institutions in digital RMB. In order to support the pilot work of digital RMB in Xiamen, with the assistance of ICBC Xiamen FTZ Branch, the employees’ salaries of Xiamen FTZ Management Committee have been partially issued in digital RMB since May this year. The first batch of business realized the seamless inter-bank transfer between the financial treasury account and the payroll account and the bulk settlement of payroll in digital RMB, which opened up a channel for the financial treasury of the province to issue civil servants’ and institutions’ employees’ salaries.
